This is drawn at the size the object really is, from the same file the laser cuts — what you see here is what you get handed back. It reads 4–7 cm; change the material and that number changes with it, in front of you.

Material

Laser-etched into the grain. No ink at any point.

Chip

The Pro chip adds $20 to any card and changes nothing about the artwork — the price bar below follows as you switch.

Etched in capitals. It is the line people read from across a table.

What you do, not your grade. It is re-assignable later without a reprint.

Leave it out and the card belongs to you rather than to a job.

Logo

Laser-etched into the grain. No ink at any point. A flat, single-colour version cuts best — under 200 KB, and a PNG is scaled down for you.

For the phone in front of you that will not do NFC. Every card gets its own code — the pattern is filled in when the tag is encoded, so the preview shows the reserved area at true size.

Mark colour

The beam only ever burns the grain DARKER. There is no white to laser on and no filler to lay in, so a light mark on bamboo does not exist — pick a burn tone.

One pass. You feel the mark more than you see it, and nothing is removed.
