Anodised black card
1–2 cm — a deliberate touch, not a wave. The blackest thing in the room, and it holds a fingerprint like one. Same metal underneath as the steel, so the same deliberate touch and the same short reach.
NTAG 213. Opens your page on every phone, with no app involved. Taps are counted but not signed. The same card with the Pro chip is $220.
Kitting out a team costs less per card: ten or more takes 10% off, fifty takes 18%. Nothing is subscribed to when you buy hardware.
Hand it over and let them place the phone on it
Metal detunes any NFC antenna, so this one reads at 1–2 cm — the phone is placed on the card rather than passed over it. Everybody works that out in the first two seconds of holding it, and we would rather you knew now than on a stand. It is still the card people keep.

Same chip, same finish, same anodised black — the smaller shapes take a few dollars off, but that is not the reason to pick one. What actually changes is where it lives and how close the phone has to get. Plenty of people carry the card and put a sticker on the laptop.

| What | Detail |
|---|---|
| Chip | The standard chipIt opens your page on any phone with no app involved. Taps are counted but not signed — the Pro chip adds the signature for $20 more, on the same card. |
| Size | 85.6 × 54 mm · ISO/IEC 7810 ID-1Card format. It goes wherever the thing it replaces already went. |
| Phones | Every phone in the roomA stock iPhone or Android reads it with no app installed — the phone simply opens your page in its own browser. Nobody has to prepare for the meeting. |
| Read range | 1–2 cmA deliberate touch, not a wave. Measured on the material we ship, with a case on the phone, rather than on a bare handset on a bench. |
| Material and finish | Anodised black · Anodised aluminium, laser-etched to bare metalAnodised aluminium, lasered back to bare metal. The beam strips the black oxide off, so every mark comes out LIGHTER than the card. There is no dark option: a black mark on an already-black card is a mark nobody can see. |
| Setup | Done before it shipsIt arrives pointing at your page. The printed slip carries the same link and a recovery code, so the one phone that refuses to read anything is never a dead end in front of a customer. |
| When someone leaves | Re-assign it, as often as you likeThe card belongs to the role, not to the person. Point it at whoever takes over and it works the same afternoon — nothing is rewritten and only the printed name ever needs reprinting. |
Kitting out a team costs less per card
A sheet of ten and a full panel of fifty are real steps in the factory, so those are the two discounts — and there is no secret third one waiting behind a phone call. The break applies per line, because fifty identical cards is one print run and fifty assorted ones is fifty.
| Quantity | Discount | Each | What that comes to |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1–9 | Discount— | Each$200.00 | What that comes to1 × $200.00 = $200.00 |
| 10–49 | Discount10% | Each$180.00 | What that comes to10 × $180.00 = $1,800.00 |
| 50+ | Discount18% | Each$164.00 | What that comes to50 × $164.00 = $8,200.00 |
The price each is rounded to the cent once, and the line is that price times the quantity — so the two numbers on your invoice always agree, and nobody in your finance team has to ask about a stray cent.
It works the moment you open it
Nothing to pair, nothing to install, and no setup to do in a hotel lobby the night before. It is programmed before it ships, and the printed slip carries your link and a recovery code for the one phone in the room that refuses to read anything.
- One card, ready to tap the moment you open the envelope
- A printed slip with your link and a recovery code, for the one phone that will not read it
- A paper sleeve — no plastic clamshell to throw away
See your own name on it before you buy it
What you see on screen is the file the laser cuts, drawn at the size the object really is. Nothing is charged until you are looking at something you would be happy to hand to a customer.
